Buhari commiserates with Ghanaian President over Explosions
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday October 8, 2017 offered his heartfelt condolence to his Ghanaian counterpart, Nana Akufo-Addo, over the gas explosions that killed several people on Saturday in Accra.
Buhari, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, also told the Ghanaian leader that his personal thoughts and prayers, as well as that of all Nigerians, are with “our Ghanaian brothers and sisters as they mourn their loved ones.”
Vanguard reported that more than 7 people lost their lives with over 132 injured, after two explosions hit a filling station in Accra, Ghana around 7.00 pm on Saturday October 7, 2017.
He further prayed that Ghanaians, who are known for their extraordinary strength and resilience, would overcome the disaster and rise above the losses the country had suffered from gas-related explosions in recent times.
